Hello all!

We're about to embark on yet another journey. Last week we took the motorhome for a test run, this time pulling a car! It went well so we're ready to travel across the USA once more with Vancouver, Canada as our final destination.

We've only got a month this time, attending a wedding on Vancouver Island at the end of July.

Our test run took us to Risser's Beach Provincial Park in Nova Scotia. The water is achy cold. As you can see you can get the supremo camp sites during the middle of the week in June. Yay homeschooling. We took the trip with my mom and dad (previously seen during the end of our Australia journey and last September's excursions) as well as beloved cousin Connor, our weekend warrior.

Hello everyone,

Here are some wintery scenes from our part of the world, specifally our backyard.

We've been busy with school and snow. The girls have re-learned how to downhill ski and our new mission is to learn how to snowboard. So far we've only tried it out in the backyard but we'll brave the ski hill soon. Kevin is already the master (except for that time he broke his wrist!) so now we're hoping he can teach us.

Mercedes celebrated her 9th birthday with a Halloween cake and plenty of cousins.

The leaves have fallen and the coasting, snowman building and of course shovelling, has begun. The girls are loving the snow after 2 years without it.

September Again. 2009

Another school year begins. We've decided to do things a little differently this time and actually 'home' school. At least mostly. We've got a house needing attention and turtles to look after.

However, we did start the year off with a little road schooling. We took a short trip with Grammy and Boppy to watch the whales and seals off Briar Island, Digby. We got a close-up view of humbacks next to the boat where the girls saw the eye of one. They were beautiful.

We made a side trip to Port Royal for a little history and got to try out the wooden shoes.
